Plastics

Possibly the greatest scourge of humanity is plastic. The large pieces pollute the world and the deepest oceans. The micro plastics are now within the blood stream of us all, and probably within all living things.
I suggest that we devote a major chunk of our federal budget on how to make plastics that degrade to their essential elements, and how to mop up the incredibly, umm, bounty, of microplastics with which we have already polluted this entire world. If we start this project, then we might convince other countries to join us.
