AI must mark everything it touches as AI

There has been an increasing concern about AI and how it pervades almost every part of our lives. A quote from here:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technolo ... 5d95&ei=20

According to AI safety researcher Roman Yampolskiy, there's a 99.999999% probability AI will end humanity. He claimed that the only way around this is not to develop the technology in the first place.

I don’t agree with Yampolskiy, but do believe the problem is serious. There is a simple way to mitigate a significant part of the problem.
All documents and images created by or changed by AI must be marked as such. Images must have an icon or some minimum amount of space devoted to an indicator that the image is the product of an AI program. All documents must be prefixed at the top with an indicator and maybe a small indicator on every single page. All AI programs must be required in some way to indicate they are AI. If they have a video interface, it must show it is AI. There must be a way for the average citizen to determine exactly what AI created or modified the document. The history must be retained up to some limit. And it must be illegal for AI to not mark its presence.

These descriptions what the law should cover can go on for quite some time, but the message is clear.

We might start with this in California, then try to spread it to the U.S., then the world.

Edit: Letters to this effect have been sent to our state senator and representative, and to all the members of the judiciary committees of both state houses.
