The FEC page is quite worrisome. The default format is to sort the candidates by funds. For the 2026 election, as of 30 June, the Republican Darrell Issa had total receipts of over $780,000, disbursements over $190,000, and most worrying, cash on hand of over $2.2 million.
The top Democrat is Curtis Morrison with about $10,000 in receipts and cash on hand of about $1,700. Only one additional Democratic candidate has any financial reports with five reporting zero cash. At this point in time, cash on hand seems to be quite important and Issa has a huge lead.
A quick evening's search produced some information about the candidates.
Curtis Morrison
His website is here: https://curtisforcongress.com/home There is no email address. The postal address seems to be: C/O Red Eagle Law, 5256 S. Mission Road, Suite 135, Bonsall, CA 92003
The website covers a lot of ground with quite a bit of good information. The site has a place to volunteer, but no comments about activities currently in progress.
Whitney Shanahan
Her web site is here: https://whitneyshanahan.com/ A general email address is: info@whitneyshanahan.com No physical address provided. Her site presents her first hand experience of discovering how important personal choice is for birth control. The events page is quite a bit out of date. There is a volunteer page but no space for comments to Whitney.
Albert Mora
Web site: https://albertjmora.com/ email address: info@albertjmora.com postal address: 1637 E. Valley Parkway, #126, Escondido, CA
Brian Nash
Web site: https://briannash.com/ Email: brian@briannash.com Postal address 24930 Washington Ave, Unit #1151, Murrieta CA 92564
Suzanne Till
Web site: https://suzannetill.com/ The site does not provide an email or USPS address. Suzanne earned her PhD in water resources geography at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In 2020 she was elected as Director, Division 2 for Padre Dam MWD. She seems to be the only Democratic candidate to have been elected to any office.
